Words to live by. Or words to spite, and die by.

Having a group call brought up a memory from Primary School. I got told off for daydreaming in class, but I now realise I was dissasociating. That means I was displaying signs of trauma when I was under the age of 11. From what I can remember, I've calculated that I was 7 years old. That was the year my dad was diagnosed with leukaemia.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm too stupid to be a good writer. My favorite writers are capable of such deep introspection of the human condition, which is half the reason their writing is so good. If I can't do that, I'm all empty paintings.

I felt this way for quite some time. Eventually, I did give up writing for a few years and traveled the world with the military, learned a whole bunch of non-writing related skills, and then came back. I guess what I'm saying is, going out and just gaining life experience and doing more stuff, finding out more what interests you, really helps as far as writing. I'm by no stretch of the imagination a decent writer, but I'm damn sure better than the trash I was. The only thing that happened between those times was leaving everything I knew behind, and doing different things. Gaining perspective of the world. Then those paintings started to fill up something more than shades of gray.

Well, wisdom and intelligence have no clear relationship, and I suppose one thing to look for in good literature is philosophy, which is wisdom.

I like to think of the scene from Good Will Hunting by the pond where Robin Williams fucks Matt Damon's who'll existence up for this discussion.

I'm just sitting at my desk. I came into the office after work so I could write, and I've just been enjoying sitting at my desk for about half an hour. It's wonderful to have it back.

    You too!

That's a fine age. Paw Patrol, Moomin Trolls, "I want to do and decide myself", narrative thinking developing in big steps, drawing getting more interesting...

Tell her big congratulation from Finland when she has her birthday.

I hope I remember how to be social after all this.

Oh, that's right. I never knew how to be social.

But really... I can't wait to hit up a bar with friends.

^ I only glimpsed it quickly and thought you said you wanted to hold up a bar with friends. I was all, "Well now, this escalated rather quickly."

Amsterdam isn't bad. Though I am not a big Vodka drinker.
Though I don't know about Virus or Vodquila, so you could
let us know about one of those. :p
