Relic Doll

Alastor was well trained in the use of his two Flicker runes, which allowed him to travel nearly as fast as the horses. Nearly. He cursed under his breath as he saw the rest of the group about twenty yards in front of him. Besides, he was getting tired. He stopped and took some deep breaths.

And suddenly, he got luckily. A young man ran past him, leading two horses. Alastor grinned. "I'll be taking one of those." The man glanced at him but kept moving. Alastor flinched. He didn't like being ignored.

Touching the rune, he flickered in front of the man, planting his knee in the man's stomach. The man collapsed, gasping for air, and Alastor jumped onto one of the horses. He nodded at the other man. "I suggest you get the hell out of here. Angry Dolls are on their way." The man turned to his back. "King's... horses..." he gasped. Alastor grinned. Stealing from a king. Why not. "The king is probably already dead." He kicked the horse and headed after the others.
