I was just curious as to how much this system was used on this board. I'm not against it, but I've seen it do both positive and negative things. How often do you, as individuals, give out rep points or receive them?
I use it, when I see something that I really like. I do try to avoid using it in the Lounge and the Word Games forum unless there's something really spectacular. Now, I belong to two large boards, one of which uses it, and one that doesn't. Sometimes I like being able to use the messages to give a quick thumbs up, but sometimes I like that it's not displayed. Now, I'm not so sure about allowing it to be used to give negative rep. We'll have to see how it goes.
