Hi, this is a brief summary of the character. Do you think she's interesting enough? is it too clichéd? Curly red hair framed her face. It was a kind face not the one you would expect from a warrior and even less from a seasoned commander. If it wasn't for the armour and sword one could never guess what she was. She wore a fox emblem on her heart instead of the winged tower, symbol of her army. She found it in the ashen ruins of a village she was sworn to protect and since then it became a sort of treasure to her; a reminder of her failure and a motivation. In time it had become the symbol of the detachment she led. She cared for every single angel under her command, like a mother with her children. Her name was Ambriel, sworn to protect life even at the cost of her very soul which many time she risked to lose for her heart was good but she committed many atrocities to protect her sisters. Atrocities whose ghosts still haunt her.
Sometimes describing things by saying what they aren't works when there is only one other option. I don't know if it works here. For one, just reading the description makes it sound as if there is a singular type of feminine appearance not typical of warriors, and secondly, that female warriors have something in the face that lets you know as much about them. Women that box or wrestle might have damage to their ears or nose, or scars from cuts, and all that can be a dead giveaway that they fight, but if you look at any random picture of female soldiers, there isn't really anything that distinguishes their faces from any other group of women: Now, if you're implying that she is an expert boxer / wrestler, and has managed to avoid any scars or damage because she started out so good that she never got her ears crunched or her face hit (much), that's something else.
