Ha, everyday hugs are the best. Since I'm not christain, I just sort of go along with christmass as a culteral holiday. Anyways, to all of the atheists out, have a happy thursday.

Unless you're celebrating some other holiday, why not just call it "Christmas" or just go with "Happy Holidays?" I'm Christian, but I don't call Halloween "Scary Candy Day," lol. Besides, most people don't think of the true meaning when they celebrate it, kinda like how Easter is about bunnies and eggs. Christmas is just a day to give gifts and feel all fuzzy inside. No need to be so politically-correct about it.

So, Happy Holidays to all, atheists as well.

    My family isn't overly religious

we're 'technically' Church of England, but we certainly don't practise it, lol

Yeah, it's more of a cultural thing.. also my entire extended family are catholic

so go with the flow, I guess

    but yeah

    happy Thursday

    :-D

Well, I'm not sure where to post seeing as how I'm an agnostic. So, I'll wish everyone here a Happy Thursday.

Now, to be safe, off to the Merry Christmas thread...just in case... :p

I'm atheist, or agnostic, so this is "spoil my kid day" because she's only four. Did anyone celebrate Festivus? I hope to someday.

Festivities at this time of year go back hundreds of thousands of years. It has always been a time to celebrate bonds of family and friendship. Some insist that it is only a religious festival must I feel sad for them. They are limiting themselves from the greater community.

So, happy holidays to all and may your celebrations be warm and heart-felt.

Lol. I am atheist myself, but I still celebrate Christmas, if only as a time for giving and sharing. I call it "Present Day". :D

Or, "Try out all of my presents at once while also trying to hurl myself down a mountain on two planks of wood - Day" if I'm on holiday at the time.

Boxing day is generally known as "Try to flush all of the crap I ate last night out of my system, then eat more - Day".
