    Quesiton about posting chapters

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Mapleheart, Jun 9, 2008.

When posting a chapter to a story, should you post the next chapter in the same story, after people have reviewed it? Or make a new thread?

Unless the thread in which you posted the first chapter is long-forgotten, you should post it in the same thread. You can retitle the thread.

All pieces of the same story should be posted in the same thread. Preferably, title your thread with the title (or a working title) for the entire piece, without reference to "Prologue" or chapter designations.

Revisions should be added to the (current) end of the thread rather than changing the original version in place, so that everyone can see both the before and after versions, and so the context for the original responses is preserved for other person reading the thread.

Please post only as large an excerpt as can be reasonably reviewed, though. The purpose of the Review Room is to find ways to improve your writing, not to deliver completed works for viewing. It the reviewers have a manageable piece to work on, you are more likely to get good, detailed responses, and you can apply the suggestions tyou find helpful throughout your project.
