I don't understand what you're trying to say.

"They are all dimensions close to a millimeter"?

Maybe if you posted some context it would help.

we have 10 little boxes and each box, of course has 3 dimensions. So if we are trying to say all boxes' all dimensions are close to a millimeter in size, will that be true to tell the sentence I posted above?

What Shadowalker said, or, "All dimensions are close to a millimeter." or, "The dimensions of each box are about a millimeter."

The dimensions of each box are close to a millimeter in size.

that still doesn't make good enough sense, isn't specific enough to let the reader picture it... what you seem to be trying to say is something like:

It truly depends on the surrounding text. If this is a stand alone sentence, then Mama's suggestion is correct. If your surrounding text is something like this -

My friends and I, ten people in total, each possess a cardboard box that are nearly identical. The dimensions for each box are within a millimeter of the others.

See? Its your context that gives you the style. The first one was pretty bad though. They all? Not correct as a stand alone sentence, or even in context.

Actually, now that I look at it again, it should be "Each dimension of all the boxes is close to a millimeter in size."

    Carry on...
