I'm very proud to present the 100th short story contest here on wf.org. As I say in the contest forums themselves, most of these contests have been run by yours truly and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your participation, interest and for your fantastic entries over the last two-to-three years. Anyway, the 100th contest is themed "Pre-written Character", a special contest where you all write using the same character, Danny, as determined in a separate vote. For more details, a breakdown of Danny's character, and information on how to submit an entry, please see this link: https://www.writingforums.org/showthread.php?t=44992 Voting has also been launched for the 99th contest, which was themed "Puppet Master". Please take the time to help support the site and your fellow members by reading the entries through and by casting your vote for the piece you feel is most deserving. Voting can be found here: https://www.writingforums.org/showthread.php?t=44991 And, finally, congratulations to Chivalorous Tart, the winner of contest 98, which was themed "Strange Pet". This winning entry can be read here: https://www.writingforums.org/showthread.php?t=44990 Thanks, Gannon.
Well done, Gannon. Thanks for your efforts. Those little character sketches were very nicely done...I rather wanted the woebegone ex-mechanic to win.
In some form, these character scenarios may be re-written (or may not) for the upcoming vote for the "Pre-written Scenario" contest, and, if not, feel free to use them for inspiration all the same in your own work! I lay no claim to them!
