It has no place in the query.

i thought that agents might be on the lookout for different perspectives and viewpoints, and cultures

anyway it's in the bio section. does everything in the bio section need to be directly related to writing?

You never know what might hook an agent, and you're right that you can put something unusual about yourself in the bio. But unless your YA fantasy story somehow deals with Orthodox Judaism, it is irrelevant. If you want to put something in a bio, you might be better off putting something more unusual about yourself. The query needs to be pretty short and you really need to save it for things that will make the agent want to read your book. That's the most important part.

In a query, yes. On a sold piece, a bio for the published work is for introducing you to the reader.

But in a query, it's all about the writing you are trying to sell.
