Not sure if I heard this before, but I think writing is one of the few things in which you can actually be a selfish person without looking like a complete dick. "Yes, I will write about this. Don't like it? Too bad! Get over it and read something else." Just write it. If you don't like it, its because you decided, not someone else. And if you don't like it, write something else! That's what's fun about writing! Write what fancies you; find what pleases you. Believe me, this is coming from a guy who often asked for validation before, and still do on occassion. I'm getting better at it, I hope.
