    Any Twilight fans here?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by MatrixGravity, May 2, 2011.

For those of you who've watched the series and are fans, could you please provide me with a list of words to describe his facial expressions/personality traits? He hardly smiles in the movies, and he pauses when he speaks sometimes. But regarding his facial expressions.. What would they be called? I think.. Glaring would be one of them because he tends to Glare at people alot.

    I think glaring is acceptable.

You might throw in brooding if you want to be more charitable, and that seems to be an attractive countenance for the target audience.

    (in before the mindless bashing)

Well...it appeared to me in the films that he was doing a lot of glaring. I think from the perspective of the target audience, people would probably characterize it more as brooding. For example, the character is occupied with dark thoughts, fears, anxieties, or what have you.

As for the speech patterns, I think the author was trying to make him more reflective, and also trying to make him sound a bit more formal, presumably to reflect the fact that he is from a different time and place.

He looked like he was about to vomit in the Bio scene XD.

Seriously though? A somewhat pained, sulking look.

He looks mad all the time and concerned with Bella which in turn makes him look ticked off.

Well given that Meyer uses the word "grimaced" like anyone else would use a comma, how about that?

To say it with brevity, Edward's look makes me chagrined.

It just occurred to me that Stephenie Meyer might not know how to properly pronounce that word, considering how much she uses it XD.
