Figured it could be fun to complain about various items or situations that we dislike. Obviously, nothing personal. I probably have quite a lot. Ones that spring to mind of mine atm are: Cling film/saran wrap. I called it the devil's handiwork. Awful stuff. Never cuts properly, sticks to itself, but not the thing you're trying to wrap. Horrid sound when you scrunch it in a ball, and it's non reusable and non recyclable. Umbrellas. Too much work entailed with umbrellas. Take it out of your bag, take off the cover, unwrap the velcro strap, put it up, don't poke your eye out, or other peoples. Lift it up or tilt it when you pass other people. Who holds it if you're sharing it? Can't do anything else properly with your remaining hand, like get money out. Fight against the wind, can't put it down again. Can't do anything when it's wet. Starts to smell disgusting. Eventually gets misshapen, bent, broken or lost-either the cover or the umbrella. Also, by the time you put it up/down, it will inevitably stop/start raining accordingly. Ain't nobody got time for that. I wear a hood or a hat. Forced fun: Anything that involves me feeling like I'm supposed to look like I'm enjoying myself when I'm not, or being encouraged to do things I'm not comfortable with. Ie. Public dancing/singing. If I don't want to, I'm not doing it. I don't care if I look like a petulant toddler, or if people think I'm boring. Parking at bus stops. I don't mean drop offs/pick ups, I mean park and go around the town. Where the heck is the bus meant to go? Had this this morning, and traffic piled behind us because a car was parked in the bus stop. Then the bus came for the other side, and people had to take it in turns to drive through the gap! So, what do you dislike?
I hate being tickled now, because it was overdone when I was a child. People wouldn't stop it when I said no.
Same. People tickled me until I started crying and screaming. At that point, it really isn't consensual or fun.
It's just occurred we also have the Things that Annoy Me but Shouldn't thread, too. We have three established threads for whinging. Do we really need a fourth??
Right, I had a chat with the other mods and we're agreed that this is approaching The Department of Redundancy Department level, what with Not Happy, First World Whinges, and Things that Annoy Me But Shouldn't. No harm no foul, but we've got plenty of places to complain as it is.
