I was wondering if anyone knew somewhere were I could find statistics on published authors separated by gender. Particularly I am looking for statistics on genre, like whether fantasy, or romance, or horror authors etc, are more likely to be men or women. I've been searching around for the past week or so and have not been able to find anything. Any leads would be much appreciated.
Might be hard to find, at least even semi-accurate. Many writers use pseudonyms of the opposite gender, and guard their identity quite closely for a variety of reasons.
