    Trouble question

Discussion in 'Plot Development' started by GuardianWynn, Aug 6, 2015.

I just wrote a scene and I had a random thought about it. This thought or question isn't important. So I figured the lounge because well I am just randomly curious what you guys wil say! :D

Basically this. A girl does some pretty bad stuff. She get away, be it with some broken bones but I wonder. In real life. How much trouble would she have been in if she hadn't got away.

    This is what she did.

There was a bank robbery. Which she didn't do. Its the one thing here she didn't do. lol. But well, something of a sensity nature was left at the scene. So she recovered it. So she
    1. Broke into the bank
    2. Threw a grenade at the investigating officers. Killing many, hurting a few others.
    3. Stole the item and ran.
4 Shot 4 people. None died and 3 were police officers.
    5. Throw 2 more grenades at police officers. Only minor injuries resulted from these attacks.

    Thats the big stuff.
Though technically the use of grenades probably caused property destruction. Also earlier in the day she hacked into the police com-lines and the banks security cameras. Throwing everything she did in one day out there! :D

So. How much trouble was she in if she was caught?

A lot. Assault with a deadly weapon, murder, attempted murder, robbery, maybe assaulting a police officer. She'd very likely spend the rest of her life in jail.

    The interesting part is well.

Some people say my writing is too dark for moments like this. Other say it is too light and fluffy.

Not sure what that says about my friends.

The interesting part is this girl in the scene did all of this for a locket. lol. My motivations are random sometimes.

All that for a locket? The judges and other prisoners are going to find her a very interesting specimen indeed. I can just see it now.

PRISONER: “I'm in for murdering someone who hurt someone I cared about. What you in for?”

MC: “I murdered for a locket.”

    PRISONER: <blinks> “Wow. Just...just wow...”

    :p

She probably would have been shot and killed. Throwing a grenade is grounds for deadly force.

Assault is the assertion of threat, like screaming at a stranger. Battery relates to violence.

Assault can be a physical/violent attack as well. If the attack hits then it is battery as well. Awareness of the victim is a issue.

As for how much trouble - does she get caught or not?

Lol! She is a bit aggressive. If she was in jail I bet she would be restricted to isolation because she would probably attack other inmates. Win or lose.

Indeed possible. Lol. I assume cops might take a grenade a bit personal.
Nope. She gets away. I had a scene years later where she got caught. Probably for something else. This girl takes a long time to learn how to play nice with others.

Funny enough her getting caught doesn't last long. A friend of her jail breaks her. Lol.

If she gets away, I guess she's not in that much trouble :)

Lol which is why the question is if she got caught how much trouble would she be in. Lol
