I'm sure we all have at least one that's really strange. I'm no older than 8 or 9 (mid/late 70's) because we're living in Omaha, Nebraska. I'm watching TV in the basement, PBS because I'm waiting for the "how to draw" show to come on. Couldn't tell you the name of that show now. The show that's airing while I'm waiting is some whispy, affected Jan Brady woman talking about natural gardening and getting plants from the wild. She has that voice and manner of speech that I associate as an adult with self absorbed "artsy" people who want you to know that they're artsy. She's talking about some wild plant she's gathering and mentions that the sap "gives a very nice, opium-like high". That's the strange part. I can't imagine any show today ever making that kind of statement, even on PBS. Yours?
...did you think it was 'strange' then?... and would it have been considered 'strange' by anyone else, back then?
