    Swapping POVs to Drive Action

Discussion in 'General Writing' started by zoupskim, Apr 23, 2016.

So I am playing with an idea for this action scene I am writing. There are two primary characters who are there, and I want to swap back and forth between their limited 3rd person limited POVs throughout. This will let me A: Cover more events and information in the scene. B: Give a sense of speed and choppiness to the action. C: Let both characters growth due to the events be known without one of them having to explain it later. I want the scene to change them, and then move on.

Will this work? Most if my chapters this far are split in half by a POV swap, or are just ine POV the whole time. For this half a chapter I have at least five POV swaps.
