She's not camera shy that's for sure, she's a curious thing and a total daddies girl. When I skype with my friends she knows I won't be going anywhere for a couple of hours so she sleeps on my chest/stomach much to the amusement of said friends, she's very talkative to. Her brother on the other hand, is a total enigma but I managed to take a good photo of him today after 2 years of trying. He'd always look away at the last second or give it the old half cut look. Spoiler: Got him here though
Spoiler: Said kitten getting cosy during skype time I went up to my mothers resting place today as it would have been her 64th today. So I took my camera to take some pictures of her resting place. I've been biting at the bit to get out and take pictures since lockdown. Spoiler: Resting place On my way back the light broke through the trees just right so I took a snap. Spoiler: Old tree An emotional day, but a good one. Sooky dook moment of the day was after I spent 30 minutes running around the over growth trying to get a picture of the many coloured butterflies on display up there I failed. They just wouldn't land for me or they would vanish into the bush. Came home, put the kettle on and clicked through my pictures. Just at that moment, a butterfly found its way in and landed on my toe. Not going to lie, I had a moment.
It's nice, but I'd lower the resolution for the details of the paper's texture as well to make it more vintagy or add some noise perhaps?
Those are excellent suggestions, thank you. I've been trying to perfect the vintage photo look, I just love the aesthetic of it.
I mean no offense by this, but the heavy texture of the paper makes it remind me of one of those waterstains on a rock or a stucco wall that people interpret to be Jesus or something. Now that would be an interesting effect to deliberately go for
There's a fantastic online photo editor called pixlr. Some great ageing processes available there. https://pixlr.com/old/express/
Or with a single click you could turn this annoying modern hipster Into this - instant Hemingway lookalike With this: https://funny.pho.to/old-photo-effect/#
I think it's a bit excessive as well. I used the default filter setting for that effect; I need to learn how to tweak it.
The Royal Poinciana in front of the house is dropping its flowers. I collected them in the grass, made an arrangement and then posterized it.
