    Hello!

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Anna100, Apr 29, 2015.

I'm twenty four years old, and live in Norway.
I've been roaming about the forum for a while and decided to join. I have liked writing stories since elementary school. Even though I have started writing many stories, I have yet to finish a single one...-.-
I have just been writing for fun (and still do), not really thinking about improving my writing or thinking about it much in general. Going through different threads I see I do a lot of mistakes when it comes to writing:p Anyhow, I'm here to learn. :)

I've read that - 'So long as a new Norwegian book passes quality control, Arts Council Norway purchases 1,000 copies of it to distribute to libraries—or 1,550 copies if it’s a children’s book.' (see http://www.newrepublic.com/article/117337/norway-best-place-world-be-writer)
So you can't fail! (depending on what quality control means)

(sorry for late reply, was away)

I really don't know much about the publishing industry in Norway (or in general), so this was new to me. It does sound promising, but as you said, what does the quality control demand? And anyhow, one would have to write the book first, and that's not too easy. :p Thanks for the link. :)
