    Gunfight or gun fight?

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by Infinitytruth, May 4, 2011.

I'm looking for it to be said very fast, so that's why I'm asking if gunfight is even a term?

    Hi Infinitytruth!

According to Word (if you deem it reliable) gunfight is a proper term and so is firefight if you want to use that too.
    Hope that helps :)

Gunfight is nowadays an acceptable compound, though would largely only be in American English.
