Do Your Characters Have Time For A Quick Chat?

In the story I'm currently working on, I have two first person narrators who are both very much interested in the people around them. This said, they have both been getting a little bit blurry for me to write because they seem to know more about their family and friends and enemies than they do about themselves. I feel that, generally, it can be difficult to talk about oneself honestly at length, but that people are constantly on a mission to explain themselves the best to someone out there, or rather, everyone.

Anyway, what I'm really here to do is to ask, will your characters talk to mine? My narrators have no idea how to talk about themselves as of yet and I feel that a few quick exchanges with characters not in the story might help them and help me to write them haha. Hit me up if you're interested or weirded out!

Yeah, just click on theunheardwriter's name and then click "start a conversation".

 

There is a PM system. You can click on a users avatar picture, and
start a conversation that way. Or you can do it in your own profile
if you know the name of the user you want to reach. Think you have
to add '@' followed by the user's name if you take the second route.

 

I don't know haha, I thought this might be a fairly normal thing to seek out. I guess I'd always done a lot of roleplaying growing up and when I was in college I was part of an RPG thing on Tumblr where I was cast as one of the RPG creator's characters. It was such a useful experience to talk to characters I had no control over as my character. I got to know who my character was so much more quickly and efficiently, and the reactions to them were organic and not manufactured by me, so I figured that kind of environment might help me again.
