    Your body loves you.

TMW you envision your story from another character's pov and are amazed at what you've learned.

TMW you finally get onto Netflix and realize that, given your addictive personality, this is probably going to turn into another 12 step program. o_O

TMW your story takes off on its own. No intervention from 'me' required anymore

Okay, maybe I should have treated my protagonists to a serene, uneventful life. Too late, I'd say :D

I think the words you were looking for were "a quiet, normal life".

At least, in the words of the Prophet Warren:

TMW a coworker types a sentence on your story, tells you to expand on it and holy shit a scene is born!

That moment when your dad breaks the door on the microwave.

That epic fail moment when your dad forgets that he broke the microwave and prepares some porridge to make in it ... followed by that moment when he remembers that the microwave is broken and swears a lot.

That moment when you realise that your ukulele is much more forgiving of both your crappy playing and your small hand span than your guitar will ever be, and you probably never should have bothered trying to switch.

You can get small (3/4 scale, I think) guitars, and guitars with narrow necks. Never give up! ;)

Yeah, and strats and strat copies have smaller quartersawn necks. I have small hands too. Every time I see Hendrix, Buckethead, or Satriani I wonder would it feel like to play with hands the size of helipads. Hendrix could barre the whole neck with the first joint of his pinky damn near.

    TMW...

Well, this requires some setup. I come from a very conservative, very Christian part of the States.

And I'm not very conservative, nor even a little bit (except in shared culture) Christian.

But I have friends from back home who are.

And I've got so many Facebook accounts now, I have to make sure to check my profile pic to see who I am at any given point.

So one of my accounts is innocuous. Has no political or religious opinions at all.

    Likes cat videos.

Has just received a friend request from a friend of a very conservative, very Christian hometown friend.

Requestee is an employee of a very conservative, very Christian organization.

    ...

TMW you accept a friend request based on a mutual love of cats.

TMW you make yourself sit down and write, and get past the point where you were stuck for 8 days... (woot)

Written nearly 2k words today, despite having to get up and do security rounds every 15 min.

Iain's an assassin for the US military, suffers this turmoil, his victims' eyes an endless looping through space, he can only polish his silencer, wonder at the man he might have been, a pastor, lord jesus christ satan etcetera, he must now eat sushi until summoned for that final job, meanwhile Facebook is his solace.
