Hopefully someone can help me, I was at a job interview today, mentioned I was a writer and briefly about my work, and this guy, if i recall correctly told me about books to do with a 'Black Patrol'? but nothing's come up on Amazon, as I don't have an author or actual book title. Anyone know what it might be, and if they're any good?
Ah, that rings a bell. This, perhaps? The Black Company series by Glen Cook. I've never read any of them myself, though a few forum goers I've met elsewhere seem to like them quite a bit.
Yes! Read it! I've only had the luck to find the first book, but the series is great, you'll find yourself loving Croaker and the rest of the Black Company. Don't be turned away from the story by Raven, though. The book does get interesting, I promise.
