    Enthusiasm and Optimism?

    Off the top of my head, without using a dictionary:
    Enthusiasm is more emotion; optimism is more thought.

    I think things will turn out well - optimism
    I really want to do this - enthusiasm

    Enthusiam means you're excited. Optimism is when you know you're fucked but don't want to admit it.
