Rounders is the British game from which baseball evolved ... these days its generally played only by school children. Its pretty much like baseball only played on a smaller field and with a short wooden bat held in one hand only

I'm just glad you Brits aren't getting too offended at the thought of me enjoying my own national sport. ;) :p

Yah, the NFL is quickly taking over the spot of America's favorite sport. :p

Are the Persona games anything like the Shin Megami Tensei games? I only played Lucifer's Call but supposedly Digital Devil Saga is similar in terms of the philosophy in the stories and the worlds they take place in. I thought Lucifer's Call had wonderful philosophical themes, questions and concepts that were perhaps less wonderfully executed, but I find them much more interesting than other JRPG's.

I just posted in the Not Happy thread because a minor hand/wrist injury is preventing me from doing a bunch of stuff I would like to do. Then it hit me. I can read! Boy I am going to read.

Get ready, water boiler, I'm making tea tonight. Lots of tea.

In terms of plot Persona is lighter than the mainline SMT games, combat is very much like Digital Devil Saga in structure but you do have to tell the game that you want to directly order characters apart from the MC via the tactics menu. Trust me, the AI will make you wanna bang your head against the wall if you don't.

However, dungeon trawling is half the game, it's also part VN because you have to form and strengthen bonds with other characters to get the most out of it. It's something you have to play to understand.

You can get the first two and remakes of 3 and 4 on Vita. If you have a Wii U Tokyo Mirage Sessions is heavily modelled on Persona's structure.

Sorry if double posting is a big thing here, but I have to say this.

Persona 5 is totally worth the hype, but then, I might be a little bit biased...

:bigmad: Double post!? Where did I put that ban hammer!? :bigeek:

    Just kidding. ;)

(I know some forums essentially ban members for double/multi posting, but it's not something we really care about, unless if you spam for the sake of spamming.)

You know, that's one of the things I fucking love about this forum. I'm on others where they go apeshit if someone posts on an old thread, or double posts, or breaks some other arbitrary "rule" and it continually baffles and annoys me.

My new AC adapter just came in the mail! Tonight I'll find out if the problem is truly solved and I'll be able to play Breath of the Wild again!

I might be finally happy with the email I intend to send to my mother detailing that she's a toxic, closed minded, witch of a woman whose only success as far as raising me was material, and that was because of dad when I was growing up anyway.

There's a lot of anger and it's probably going to burn bridges, but if that's what it takes to actually heal then so bloody be it.

My bf has a bad habit of letting his online purchase wrapping pile up. I have up on him clearing it and did it myself. I threw out six bags of stuff.

Woke up from a few nightmares...to the sight of my dog looking at me.

Just thought I'd share that with you all.

@S A Lee - You just keep being you.

@Iain Aschendale - Who? No idea who this guy is.

Got a new computer (Lenovo Ideapad 700) that seems to work okay, and is a laptop that actually fits on my lap! I think I will name it Lord Albert Beauregard Laptop III. That name is unusual for me: most of my other computers have been named after squirrels.

Anyway, Lord Albert is bugless, virusless, and runs my software without complaining or spontaneously rebooting. We'll see if he lasts longer than a year.

In other news, my slow cooker is working on a beef stew. I like to think the steer involved willed his body to my slow cooker - otherwise, dinner will be served with a side order of guilt.

I've got a new thing going where I think that the animals I eat wouldn't have existed at all if they weren't bred and raised for human consumption - I'm not eating game animals that would be frolicking in the forest if not for some hunter, I'm eating farmed animals that owe whatever life they had to my meat-eating ways. I try pretty hard to avoid factory farmed meat, so the lives of the animals I eat, while artificially short, were fairly pleasant. And isn't it better that they had a short, pleasant life than no life at all?

(I know, it's not MEGA-compelling. But it's what's working for me these days...)
