And Mother's Day is finally over. My most annoying day of the year, and this one was special-annoying. My nerves are so hyper strained that I'm completely immune to the effects of alcohol.
I'm glad it went well, and that you go away with some good memories of the day. It will be good when the pressure is finally off the public end of this event as well, so you can get some time to yourself. All the best for the next wee while.
The Saga Continues... The therapist said she's fairly certain she can sign me off as fit for duty at the end of next week. The management team are going to reconsider my case. I could be back to work by the beginning of June.
I'm updating our little building project. Our eastern neighbour has that kind of foreign policy that having 1 300km of border with them means thinking a bit more about what kind of walls are ok. I thought that I should make a copy of Olavinlinna (the Castle of Olaf). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olavinlinna
I got my camera back!!! Woo hoo!!! It's been months. Now I can take pretty pictures again. Like this. Spoiler
Lost has booked his first week of vacation now! It's always easier when there's and actually date to look forward to. Can't wait to have someone who can cook for me when I get home from work Also it's over my birthday which just makes it better!
I had someone say to me today that I had a friend in them, which was nice to hear. Two people, actually. I may run into them again in time at another group.
Taking a class about game design with the Unity engine. The first five projects come straight from the textbook, but the final one can fit any mold as long as it meets the requirement.
It’s raining!!!! I woke to rain coming down in a steady shower and the sound of cars going by on the wet street. A long rainy season always makes me happy, because it means no summer temperatures just yet. Of course, things could start sliding in the hills later, but for now? Happy, happy, happy! (Edited a typo— My orig said “the sound of CATS going by on the wet street”.)
I got another Deliveroo (this can not become a habit!) and I couldn't decide whether I wanted pizza or a burger, and I somehow accidentally ordered both (my guess is I didn't take the burger off the order when I thought I had). A computer error meant I couldn't order cheesy chips, so I did my quickest ever supermarket run (there and back in TEN MINUTES, bitches!) and bought some (also Coke, because they didn't do drinks). I hadn't eaten all day for various reasons, so this was exactly what I needed. EDIT: Oh God, I feel sick.
No pain today! Which means I didn't inadvertently cause an injury to the area. Here's hoping it stays this way as I have no desire to keep taking Advils. The prescription painkillers were too much for me. ¬_¬
I'd been thinking of ordering a pizza for a long time myself. Must...fight...fast...food...urges. Already had choc rice cakes, choc breakfast biscuits, and choc milk for lunch.
