    my dad was in the military. i was given a little gold cartouche with my name on it in Arabic from Bahrain. Well, i was like 5 and chewed on it and, gold being soft, got all bent and riddled with bite marks. so when I turned 18, i got it as a tattoo

    Great tour of Pine Ridge vineyards in Napa today, including a private tasting from the aging casks in their vine caves with the vineyards director of sales. I'm going to add their Chennin Blanc-Viogner white blend to our wine list as soon as I get home. Working on bringing some of their small batch Stags Leap Cabs home, but they have very limited production and only allocate a few hundred cases nationally to restaurants. You wouldn't think I'd be hard to pay people a few thousand dollars, but here we are....

    After a rough day at work I got a message from Lost... in Swedish.

    I don't care about grammatical issues or the wrong word here and there - it really means the world to me that he's learning my language... and that he hasn't given up after almost a year and a half.

    I'm half dead from a work... but can't help but smile.
