None of them were particularly memorable. Other than Moldova, but the whole hats and girl dressed as a fairy on a unicycle made no sense.
I obviously don't get Eurovision here in the US but I saw a video of Moldova from last year, and I cant imagine anyone was better than Epic Sax Guy...!? I'm going home to see my puppy this upcoming weekend. Happy. And I'm on top of my coursework right now... even ahead. Oh my gosh, this is a nice feeling!
I found a neat wee second hand bookstore downtown today. My new favourite store, I reckon, just packed full of novels. Of course, I stocked up, and got myself some treats for when I finish my first draft - this week, fingers crossed. They're partly for analysis purposes, partly for pleasure, and mostly to diatract myself so that I can let the darn thing sit before I get to tinkering with it.
First day of summer week. I feel like poking the world. *pokes* I did watch the new Doctor Who episodes, but I don't like it as much as before. Ah well, I tried something new,and I did watch the entire first season of el numero once so that counts.
^ I'm not liking this series of Doctor Who as much either. It's okay, just not as good as it usually is. I love discovering new bookshops. My last uni assessments (until next year, of course) are due today! Well, they're actually due tomorrow but I'm handing them in today, and it feels weird to not be doing it at the last minute like I usually do. I'm not sure how good my essay and portfolio is but meh, I've tried. Shame I can't go home yet and have to stick around for a couple of weeks to get my marks back, but oh well, at least from tomorrow I can relax.
Strange. I thought that the two-parter opening the new season was excellent- up there with the best of the new Who. The pirates episode was distinctly average, and had the feel of something just there as filler. But Gaiman's episode on Saturday was back to form. I think this is shaping up to be an extremely good season, and with the whole "Silence" issue now spanning two series, it's happily reminiscent of the "old" Who, with its much longer and more complex story arcs. But that's just me.
^ The main things I've disliked are... (in case people haven't seen the episodes of this series so far and want to) Spoiler The girl at the end of one episode who was a time traveller. I take it it's Amy's daughter but I just didn't like it for some reason. Also, the fact that the Tardis speaks, I didn't really like that either. And the fact Amy might be pregnant and that it'll be a time traveller, she didn't sleep with the Doctor did she, so I don't get how that can be. It's just not as good as previous series, in my opinion.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. If your day is not improved after watching an episode, you have no heart. Seriously, try watching it.
Someone at work linked me to http://nyan.cat and it was utter joy, really really annoying after a while, but joy for a moment!
Nix. I'm not an American, so I do not watch American television. I actually hardly ever watch television on an actual television at all these days.
In my world, that's the only kind of hugging there is. And I happen to know that Rob enjoys it too, because I've caught him in my bushes before. In other happiness thread news, Joel and I are going down to Arizona this weekend. I'm going to be trying on bridesmaid dresses. Or...bridesmatron dresses, I guess?
That's reassuring XD remind me never to ask you for a hug! What colour dress are you hoping you'll be stuffed into by the bride?
