I live in an area which has benefits of both rural and urban environment. Yesterday evening I had a father+kid forest walk with one of my kids. We both had our cameras with us. And there were these "words of wisdom & authority" everywhere! We have more wildlife around us than the effin' Zoo! Droppings everywhere! It's kind of fun enjoying all the good things and avoiding that stuff! You can have it as a material of your art but still... Keep it out! You really don't want to digest that. It's not good for you. ©Alan Aspie
Talking books and writers with a friend of mine, and listening to her travel experiences. It was a pleasant morning for me, hopefully for her too. I tried to behave... And I came back with a new book, which was a huge plus!
I really love my therapist. I`m someone who`s had mixed results and reactions to therapy but the current one I have is amazing. He`s really helping me work through my ...stuff.. and extremely encouraging of my writing as a positive thing for me. I`m also really proud of my local community right now, doing a lot to help others during the pandemic. From restaurants who are already taking a beating helping provide lunches to those who would rely on the free school lunch, to a local paper product company giving out free toilet paper in case anyone needs it in the shortage. Great to see us coming together and not apart. I really do love my town.
I've got my new solid state disk drive installed in my laptop. Oh, it's nice. I push keys and things actually happen. Having the old HHD fail its scan two weeks ago was a blessing.
....I`m scared now... Also update that toilet papers not free but they are providing it which is good. Still a great company. Closing to outside orders to cater to the local area (PA and other states). What I get for facebook browsing at lunch.
SSD has changed many lives for the better. I can't wait to get rid of the ancient mechanic HHD ghoul at the bottom of my drawer. I'd have done it already, but it's part of my backup system,
But So since social distancing and self quarantine are recommended these days, I got out a grapefruit spoon and a ball-peen hammer for Mrs. A to use in the surgery. Preparatory to the operation, I took a long hot bath and... ...it's gone! There's a little smooth crater just like the YouTube videos indicate there should be, and I know it'll refill, but for now annoyance averted!
I just took 15gbs for 30 days for my mobile for free from my provider. Goodie! I don't have a contract so everytime I'm out of services I choose my internet pack and the only mbs I had these past couple of months was from freebies my friends have been sending me.
I'm finding that I actually quite like this new version of society. It's easier to get my shopping done, as there's so few people about. Pubs are closed. People riding bikes and walking. People out with their children. A slower pace of life. Consumerist shopping has slowed. The roads are quieter. I'm hoping that society is learning a lot from this experience, and that things will change for the better as a result.
A month and two days and I'm potentially closing on a house. My interest rate is 4.65% and I'm told this is very good. My car should be paid off in the next year and a half and then I can tackle my student loans and my life will be going toward debt free as much as possible and I am ready for this to happen.
The kitchen closed at the hotel today and wont reopens until the end of April at the earliest. The happy part of this is the amount of food that`s burst out of our fridge right now. If the world goes to hell we`ll be well feed. Also haven`t lost my job quite yet, a hotel isn`t quite a life essential business but the governor his dam self asked us to stay open to house national guard and emergency personnel. I mean it helps to have a generationally wealthy business mogul owner who does a lot of political "investing" and was able to just call the governor right on up. Don`t look a gifted horse in the mouth though.
I saw two cardinals, a male and a female, building their nest in the front tree today. And on top of that! I saw the fattest Robin and it made me smile so much. Spring is almost here! Literally! And then it's hell. And then it's great again! Whooo!
