A good draft is a draft nonetheless.
Six out of my ten books will most likely arrive tomorrow according to the tracking information! Good timing, as I am finishing up my current read.
I have...not been ok lately....but managed to actually shower, shave, and change for the first time in like four days along with do some trimming on my hair. It`s a start to some self-care I suppose. Even used my aftershave....god does it smell good....even if no one else is gonna be smelling it.
Did you get your earbrows?
If you missed those then this lass will
gladly shave them.
....don`t touch my eyebrows.....I get told a lot I have really bushy eyebrows and that I should trim them....no....that`s not....no
That`s pretty good ASMR though.
I trim em down to the nubs when the wild ones poke my eyeballs.
My books arrived. I've been reading some long books lately. You really forget how thin 200 page books are.
...They...They poke your eyeballs?... Mine aren`t nearly that bad. I don`t think they're bad at all, they are fine certain coworkers just have opinions ....everybody's got opinions.
I was able to get the supplies we needed soonest from my local corner shop and not the big supermarket. I timed my arrival so most people are working but it was early enough that there wasn't a queue as they were still limiting people coming in. They even had eggs coming in, since they're cheap, nutritious and last a month, eggs are persistently out of stock before long right now.
Allstate, with whom I have my car insurance, is refunding 15% of clients' premiums for April and May because people are driving a lot less and there are fewer claims. Good PR.
You are in good hands.
Meanwhile, I'm fighting with my insurance company because my wife still has an out of state license and can't get an RI one because all the DMVs are shut down.
In better news, my unemployment finally went through, so that's good. Roughly two-thirds of my take home salary, which I will take all day.
Worse news, I'm continuing to make new business models for the restaurant based on a range of realistic expectations, none of them good. Keeps my mind busy, but the math is depressing. I figure best case scenario is a 25% loss in revenue once things are up and running. 33% is the floor, and 30% is probably the most likely number.
Good chance I will only be able to hire about 75% of my staff back, which really, really sucks.
Guess I'm not clear why business shouldn't come back to previous normal.
My Allstate agent lost her right hand in Iraq, so, good hand.
I'm an asshole, but at least she's able to give you a hand?
I received a card today from a friend I've known for 3 years.
But I'm still afraid to tell her I love her.
Got an email that the house can be appraised. I'm so close to getting something right for once in my life.
Ah, yes, wait until the afterlife... It's always tomorrow, isn't it. Until there are no more of those. Then it's... Never?
Happy thing - I've got food on the fridge for now.
I can eat three meals/ day if I want to.
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HAPPY DOES THAT SIMPLE THING MAKES ME FEEL?????!!!!
I go WEEEEE every fucking day, Madam/Sir...
PS: Fuck TP...
Currently two of our chickens are brooding. So in three weeks we are hopefullt going to have a few little fluff balls in the coop. One of them has delivered once before and proved herself a capable mother, so we'll gladly let her have another go.
Made 2 phone calls about the house today and that felt weird, but hey! I'm closer to getting it done.
