    The mechanics of magic

Discussion in 'Setting Development' started by alias, Aug 6, 2008.

What mechanics and constraints do you think should be put on magic? In a story Im writing. Im torn between 2.

    1. None of newtons laws of physics are broke, for example "energy cannot be created or destroyed on transfered" I take this literally in terms of magic and "channelers" can transfer energy from one object, or place to another, limitation being amount of energy they can find around them to transfer.

    2. Everything the magician wills happens, but in a world where will is reality, the person with the greatest will is god.

    Thoughts?
