Well that makes sense to me - I can only drink gin if it's heavily disguised in a beautifully balanced craft cocktail.

I can't drink and write fiction--even one drink is a serious problem; two shuts the fiction factory down.

I can drink and write nonfiction just fine. I don't know that it's any good, but I don't feel the same shutdown.

I find this interesting--to me, it means that fiction-writing really is a fundamentally different brain process.

Well in a strange way, alcohol is kinda like a truth serum. So that might
be a factor in the difference between fiction and nonfiction writing.
Then again Poe would be a hard challenge against this theory. :p

Don't tell them it has alcohol in it. If they knew, the stuff would be disappearing like it was being flushed down the sink!

You do realize that you would be the richest man on earth if you had gravity defying
ability such as flight, that it would break the laws of physics and reality, and would
change the face of humanity forever as a whole, right? :p

They mostly drink vodka and beer, and I factor their consumption into my weekly budget sheets. Billy is good for 3 Coronas, and Krystal drinks Mango vodka. And everyone is on this greyhound kick. They tricked the chef into ordering this fancy grapefruit juice from one of our craft distributors. $17 a bottle... I shit a brick when I saw the invoice. Spending $103 for a case of juice is not in the business model.

Hold my beer and watch this!

    There isn't just one thing.

But a fun scene. We all know what fun is.

Let's not forget, not all writing should sound 'fun'. I love good horror, which might be dark, tense and even shocking, but 'fun' is probably not the right word.
Also, like making a cake (not that I know much about this), you need ALL the ingredients if you expect anyone to actually eat it.
