Jon Mess' mind is on a whole 'nother plane than mine. The lyrics for this song are like benzoylmethylecgonine, lysergic acid diethylamide, and amphetamine melted together and diluted with caffeine, and coated onto the cerebral cortex and injected into the prefrontal cortex.
Ever since I was little I’ve always loved music. I love how music can be expressed in so many ways, sadness, romantic, relaxation and so many more. When I was in secondary school (I’m 21 now) I started singing, when I speak I have a soft gentle voice, very girly, but when I sing it’s deep similar to Elvis Presley’s ha ha the looks on my friends faces…! They couldn’t believe their eyes or their ears. I always felt embarrassed by my deep voice but in secondary school when I realised people actually liked it I saw that it was actually more of a special talent of mine. At school I started singing with my friends, and then after school I began singing for a living. I was pretty popular in my village. I sang right up until last year, before I had stop I was singing to children in our local nursery and at birthday parties as well as events in our village… I preformed Last Christmas by Wham in 2016 on Christmas Eve. Sadly I have a problem with my throat and am waiting for a hospital appointment. My voice sort of broke and now I struggle to even speak in my own natural voice, it’s all husky and gravelly like I have a bad throat with a cold. When I was singing this was one of my fave songs!
I wasn't sure whether to post this here or on the Mental Health Thread. It sums up how I've been feeling lately. The Beatles-Help!:
Understandable, they were an unusual group really, quite electronic from the 1980s and early 90s. My father used to have their tape Octopus which I wasn't keen on at first, in the end it really grew on me and now I listen to it nearly everyday This might be a bit gentler on your brain Always On My Mind by Elvis Presley... one of my favourite singers.
*squeal* me too...!! Elvis is the whole reason I started singing as well, such a beautiful soulful voice... Forever in love with the King and his music
Not many, that's for sure. He was a very unique singer, not just in his voice but the styles he could sing. Rock & Roll, Ballad, Blues, etc. Very talented man These are some of my faves of his songs... Fool. Edge Of Reality. I've Lost You. Way Down. It's Easy For You. Moody Blue and Kentucky Rain - all great songs by Elvis, although in my opinion he didn't do a bad one What about you?
I'll be honest, and say I hadn't heard of almost any of those songs. Listening to them now though. Really like Way Down. Elvis Presley-Way Down:
Yeah Way Down is really good So much passion in that song, the guitar at the beginning sounds cool too. Here's Edge Of Reality: And, Fool: All lovely songs that he did perfectly
I like Blue Suede Shoes, Suspicious Minds, Jailhouse Rock, Hound Dog. Just discovered this. Great stuff. Elvis Presley-A Big Hunk Of Love:
Yes defos agree...! I sang A Big Hunk Of Love when I was at secondary school, three hours of singing for our school leaving party... This song was one I did, I felt like the King was smiling on me that night. Not one line wrong. Obviously though, nowhere near as good as what Elvis did!!
Ooh great song! I love The Human League... My parents grew up in the 70s and 80s so they have a lot of these sorts of songs on record and cassette, so growing up I also got a liking for this type of music This is the first Human League song I heard: Don't You Want Me.
When I get married next year this is going to be mine and my boyfriends wedding song Beautiful song, so romantic...
