Nice, sort of a Smashing Pumpkins vibe. I’m getting a little more into alternative/indie stuff so if you have anything more along these lines please share it with me.

That song is aces. Such a dreamy vibe.

This one is not really like that, it starts slower but just blows up when the chorus kicks in. Spotify did good work with their recommendations list that day.

This entire album was solid back to front, really consistent band...kind of perfected their niche.

Same goes for Brand New too. Neither release anything often but when they do it's solid, their lyrics are never transcribed officially either and it makes them oblique in a good way.

Dude!! I saw Hum in concert with Bush, and they were amazing. Hum in particular, I mean. Much more powerful live than on the record (and i really like the record).

In other surprising music news, I also got dragged to see Bon Jovi, with the Black Crows and Cinderella. I was expecting the Crows to blow everybody else off the stage, but they sounded like shit. But believe it or not, Cinderella kicked my ass!! Dual guitarists, riffing off each other, and sounded way better live than on the record. Years later a friend of mine ran into the bass player from Cinderella in a record store and told him I had said that, and he replied that yeah, they're a far better band live than in the studio. Mind fully blown!!

I really miss those days up until about '96, when real bands could create their own music rather than pump out corporate product.

lol really? it's a bit hard for me to get past the lead singer but they would be pretty fun to see live I'll bet.

Yeah, Tom Keifer's voice is pretty standard hair-band shrieking, and the music is pretty simple and repetitive, but parts of some songs do sound pretty good. But they were better then the other bands onstage that night. It doesn't make them a great band or anything.
