    I am sorry for your loss. I think perhaps you're right. He waited till you were gone, to spare you a bit. But I'm sure he was really really comforted to have you there while you could be. You're right, the feelings will be mixed. Relief that his suffering is over, but devastated by the loss. The fact that he's your only family will make it even harder for you. Don't hesitate to ask for help from friends and even from counsellors, if you need it. Take care.

    This situation seems perfect for a WF horror.

    WF leader, Wreybies, has disappeared. The beta mods struggle to control things in his absence. Meanwhile Pinky has risen from the dead and walks amongst us once more....

    @Link the Writer something's gotten into the squirrels up here too. One nearly peed on me. Little varmint was squatting on a branch about 20 feet up and just let it stream!
