    After he died, I listened to a CD of his and realized once again what a great songwriter he was, and how his music refused to be put into pigeonholes.

    One of those people where I was never really into her music, but could still appreciate that she was really good at what she did. Absolute fucking legend. RIP.

    Tina Turner’s cause of death was made public today: she apparently died of natural causes, in spite of the ‘long illness’ her publicist didn’t want to talk about.

    "Long illness" and "natural causes" aren't at all incompatible though. It took my mother-in-law's cancer almost exactly a year to kill her after first diagnosis.
