Tina Turner’s cause of death was made public today: she apparently died of natural causes, in spite of the ‘long illness’ her publicist didn’t want to talk about.
"Long illness" and "natural causes" aren't at all incompatible though. It took my mother-in-law's cancer almost exactly a year to kill her after first diagnosis.
