HELLO my people! I've decided upon a fun game for us all to play. I got the idea from another forum I'm on (where games such as this are popular). I mean the game might not finish if this thread dies or if nobody takes interest but lets cut to the good stuff! I've compiled a list of what is generally considered to be the greatest and or most loved ones in general. BIG LIST....very. But here is how the game will work. I'll pit two bands against each other in a match. The first band to reach six or more votes from you all will be declared victorious of that match and stay on top. The last band standing after we get through them all will be declared the OFFICIAL band of WF So remember I'll list two band in a battle and the first to reach the majority vote will continue to be king of mountain Also note this is open to all bands from punk to metal to rock to pop toooooooo WHATEVER! In fact I'm still making the list as I start this So feel free to PM Also feel free to ask questions if you don't understand the game. But it should become clear if the thread picks up. LETS BEGIN! Grateful Dead VS Rush --- REMEMBER The first to six or more wins the match and stays on top! Until they are beaten by another. But I may increase voting higher then six depending how many take interest in the thread
As a diehard Rush fan with a Rush-inspired username, I believe my vote for the holy trinity goes without saying
I don't actually like Rush, but I don't like the Dead either, and at least Rush is Canadian, so... Rush!
Yeah, tho it may get me murdered, I'm not a big fan of either, but I don't particularly like GD & I DO remember Rush.
Think they're at 6 already, but I'll add another vote for Rush. Geddy Lee, what a champ! Has the game stalled?
They're not remotely the same kind of trip, yo. I like Casey Jones, but otherwise am [not] into folk and blues. RUSH for the win. As long as it isn't after Power Windows. No bueno.
0-1 ... I was damaged by 'Rush' kind of music at an early age. ...a schoolboy, tribes in our yard, 'Head-bangers' were one such tribe - the vile dicemen, motorbikes on their walls, ladies draped with a python. Obviously, now many years have passed, yet I am still wired - ascribe characteristics of leather, acne, masturbation to one particular genre. I am at fault, should never generalise. A Saxon/Judas Priest/War Of the Worlds/Iron Maiden/ Marillion prejudice of the knee-jerk is most damaging to thread harmony. I believe Rush are popular in Canada and I respect your constituency. If you don't mind I shall add my vote for Rush. I am sorry.
I don't think I've ever heard an Opus song other than that one, so... I'm going to go with Rush again, even though I'm not a Rush fan.
Opus.....ewwww. Rush has some tasty reggae bits - and bits they should only be. Otherwise, change the fu-ckin channel. @matwoolf: that was pretty cute.
