When was the last time neither Nadal or Federer made the finals of a Grand Slam? If Djokovic gets up a set tonight, we'll probably find out!

Darn it, was hoping to wake up in time for the Clijsters v Zvonareva. Oh well, I'm a fan of both of them so I didn't mind who got through. So it'll be a Li v Clijsters final.

    I hope Djokovic beats Federer.

That Chinese girl is very funny though. Not sure if you heard her talk after the match, but she is historical and so positive and fun.

She beat Clijsters in the Sydney International a few weeks ago, so this is the perfect finals, trust me.

Oh yeah, sounds like a good final then.

Just read that Henin has had to retire from tennis for the second time because of injury. Shame, I kind of liked her.

1st set to the Djoker. Both are playing well, so winning that tie break could be huge for Novak.

I heard about Henin's retirement, it's very unfortunate. She had such a good run at the Australian open last year too.

Edit: Early break in the 2nd for Djokovic! This is a big opportunity for him to build up a lead...

Edit2: Damn, what a set so far.

Edit3: Djokovic pulls it off :) Now if Murray can win tomorrow, no matter what happens in the final I'll be happy.

    Yay Djokovic won.

Now fingers crossed for Murray to win.

One thing i hate about the Australian Open, is how certain players play certain times of the day only. I'm pretty certain is a mens thing mainly. Murray has so far only played during the day, All of Hewitt's games over the last few years have been during the night etc.

I wonder if playing all his games at day will play a role against Murray. It'll take him a while to get used to it.

    Huge first set.

EDIT - Oh my God, these rallies are so awesome.

EDIT - Well, murray losses first set. probably what this Semi-Final needed. If anyone can come back from one set, or even two setsc down, it's Murray.

The rallies in this game are some of the best i've seen in a while.

Well, the bad news is Murray isn't playing very well, especially on serve. The good news is he still managed to win the 2nd set.

    Set each.
Come on Murray, you can fight back and win!
It's an exciting match to listen to.

T be honest, i think this has the chance of being the best match.

neither serve is good enough to hold the other right now, and that makes it pretty fun to watch/listen too.

Yeah, rooting interest aside it has been entertaining. Both men will have to raise their level of play if they want to beat Djokovic though.

Another break for Murray... now please hold :p

That last game was tough, but much better set for Murray. Much calmer play too, which is nice to see after the first set and a half.

Ferrer is certainly giving Murray a challenge but Murray is pulling through. Just one more set to win, Murray!

Edit: Yes! Well done, Murray! :D

A lot tougher than I expected, but Murray's through. He's going to need a better showing if he wants to win the finals, but at least he's earned the chance.

A good game. I fear for Murray in the final.

Am I alone in wishing Murray was a little more attractive? I prefer my sportsmen handsome and impressive. He's got that pasty skin going on and looks a touch like Sideshow Bob; and for all his newly aquired muscles there's still a peculiar whiff of weediness about him. Is that all too shallow? Probably.

Ah. I've just seen the side Arsenal will have available on Sunday. Almunia, Diaby, Squillaci and Rosicky are all going to be available after injury. Because they were clearly struggling for talent with the likes of Fabregas, Wilshere, Van Persie and Walcott in the side. The only two first-teamers unavailable for them are Bacary Sagna and Thomas Vermaelen.

By comparison, we're down to the bare bones (and in part this is down to Clark being a ****ing idiot). Nathan Clarke's gone out on loan, so we're insanely short on defensive cover. Gary Naysmith and Liam Ridehalgh are unavailable. Number one goalkeeper Alex Smithies is injured (you know, the one position you really don't want to be injured before you go to the Emirates and play Arsenal), so 39-year-old Ian Bennett will play between the sticks. Up front, top scorer Jordan Rhodes is injured and Arsenal loanee Benik Afobe can't play because of the FA's ridiculous rules, leaving Town with just 2 fit strikers - who have 2 goals between them all season (both from Lee Novak, as Alan Lee hasn't scored yet). In midfield, Damien Johnson won't play because he's injured for the rest of the campaign. Zinedine Kilbane will play instead.

My predicted Town XI for Sunday's clash with Arsenal:

    13. Ian Bennett

    2. Lee Peltier
    18. Jamie 'BOOM BOOM' McCombe
    5. Peter Clarke (c)
    28. Tamas Kadar

    16. Scott Arfield
    8. Antony Kay
    4. Joey Gudjonsson
    20. Kevin 'Zinedine' Kilbane
    11. Anthony Pilkington

    19. Alan Lee

(This - compared to the full-strength first XI of Smithies, Peltier, Clarke, Kadar, Naysmith, Pilkington, Kilbane, Johnson, Roberts, Novak, Rhodes - really doesn't stand a chance).

Tennis players have to be attractive? :p
Personally, I think Andy is quite attractive.

And yes, the final is going to be challenging for Murray but it should be a good match.

Aye, but it's worth remembering that for a Scotsman he's positively cheery. Most Scots are dour as a porridge-soaked morning in rainy Glasgow.

I'm glad that Baseball and NASCAR are going to be returning soon. It's been over 2 and a half months since I've seen either of them, and I'm not much of one for Football, Hockey, or Basketball.

I've only got another 14 days until NASCAR returns :D

To any Man United fans out there.

Any United fans? Well, as you've all heard (probably) Van Der Sar will be retiring at the end of this season and we need a new keeper...

Here's my potential list of replacements, let me know what you think:

Manuel Neuer - Schalke FC, Germany
    Lindegaard - Our newest fledgling.
    Maarten Stecklenburg - Ajax, Holland
David De Gea - Atletico Madrid, Spain.
    Pepe Reina - Liverpool, England.
What do you think, I know it's a short list, help me add to it!
