    The Thankful Thread

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by bonijean2, Nov 21, 2016.

Since Thanksgiving is almost here I thought it might be fun to start a "Thankful" thread. Here are just a couple ideas to get started -

I am thankful to see winter's first snow,
And that steamy hot cup of morning joe.

I'm British so i'm thankful that we don't have thanksgiving here, I'd hate to have a big fuss holiday so close to Christmas

we do have the harvest festival - which usually falls on the September equinox but its nowhere near as big a deal (its not a public holiday for example)

That's okay, even without the holiday, I am sure we are all thankful for something!

(wouldn't this be more fit in the lounge forum?)

Anyways, I'm thankful for people who really do care about me.

Wasn't quite sure where to start this thread but you might be right. If a moderator wants to move it that would be A-ok with me. Thanks for your response!

These thankful threads are important. Take the time to come up with something, even if you don't post it.

It may come easy, or it may be difficult, but I strongly believe that the process remains essential. Especially since the words think and thank are of a similar etymology.

It certainly ain't no freakin' coincidence that those two words sound the same.

    What do you thank ?

yes, hopefully more members will take the time because being thankful helps to be reflective and being reflective helps one to be a good writer -
