So, I've got a short I've written that's in the format of an online magazine column. I've been toying with the idea of attaching a couple "comments" to it, making it seem more legit, and I thought maybe it'd be fun to do audience participation and let anybody who wants to write an in-character, in-universe comment. What do you guys think? Also, where in the workshop do you think such a thing should go? It has been a LONG time since I've been on the site.
That does seem super fun and a great activity for character development. I don't know if it's workshop material as opposed to a game, but I could be wrong. I'm, on the contrary, terribly new to this forum. Welcome back though!
Well, I had been waiting for a couple friends of mine to write some "comments", but that clearly isn't happening. So I'm going to upload this as soon as I know where to upload it and have met the two review policy for that specific sub-forum.
Why don't you put it in Writing Prompts? I don't think magazine comments are supposed to critique the writing style and quality of the article/column they're attached to, and as such, critiques in the Workshop aren't gonna help you. I see that you've already posted it in the Workshop and of course feedback never hurt anyone, but I'd say put it in Prompts anyway You want people coming with comments like, "Oh that's total bullshit! My fae was never like this!" and then, "But what do you do then when your fae turns blue?" (or something - I haven't actually read your column, but you get my point, right?)
Okay. The game is up in Writing Prompts. Would have been sooner, but today kinda sucked ass, and I'm sorry.
