Arioch Morningstar, The Wayward Sith Name: Arioch Morningstar Race: Human Force-Sensitive: Yes Reginal Background: Sith Origins: Originally a city raised child, Arioch learned to comb through Dromand Kaas's great undeground, a nest of bountry hunters, sith initiates wanting to prove themselves, thugs, muggers, theives of all qualities, and your miscellanious killers. A large kid when young, Arioch outshown his fellow sewer rats in a few ways, getting notice of an aging bounty hunter. Raising him on the streets, teaching Arioch the ways of the underworld and how to deal death, the old Bounty Hunter taught through adulthood, and Arioch were well on his way to becoming the next, great bounty hunter. That was until a Sith noticed Arioch had the force. Having the Force in the Sith Empire meant you had to become indoctrinated into the Sith Order. Or die. Whichever was preferable. Arioch, countered with certain death or a high chance of death on Korriban, Arioch chose Korriban. Arriving, given a lightsaber, and set out to cull favor from the Sith there and fight amongst his fellows, Arioch floundered and almost died several times. Happening upon a dead Sith Comando unit (soldiers), probably slain by a pack of Sith initiates by the fact that they were chopped to peices, he found himself finally presented with what he needed. Cobbling together a full suit of combat armor from the whole peices in the squad, and grabbing himself plenty of ammo and a blaster rifle, Arioch set out onto the fields of Korriban finally in his element. He spent a few years hunting his fellow initiates with a combination of blasters, lightsabers, explosives, and intrigue (the definition, on Korriban, of 'Intrigue' means having someone else kill your foe with a series of stories, lies, and rumors). He found, though, to his dismay, that the only Force Power he had any skill at was Healing. Deciding to train in it, he spent a few weeks honing the skill with the less-Evil of the Sith Masters at the Academy until one Sith Master figured Arioch would soon be employed by another Sith Master to kill him. After framing Arioch for killing the Sith Arch-Master (leader of the entire Academy, and the Sith Master's only boss whose position he was in line in), Arioch suddenly found that he was in jeopardy. Subtly escaping from the planet in a hail of gunfire, dead Initiates looking to kill him, a few blown up buildings to distract people, Arioch found a hyperspace-capable frieghter and shot off to Dromand Kaas. Arioch landed on Dromand Kaas to find his old teacher happy sitting in retirement, and quite frankly amazed that Arioch was still alive. After not hearing from him for five years, and since he was sent to the only place more likely to kill you than a vacuum without a suit, the old bounty hunter figured Arioch was dead. The old bounty hunter, so amazed, decided to help the kid, and gave him a fake I.D. so Arioch wouldn't be shot on sight, and few credits to get him a ticket to the Republic. "They're less likely to kill you there," were the Bounty Hunter's last words to Arioch, and then he turned around to walk back into his home. Going along with the Bounty hunter's plan, Arioch got to the Republic in one peice, and quickly set to getting himself a name. Painting his armor the old navy and black of his former Bounty Hunter master, Arioch was soon known as The Wayward Sith, one part due to his armor and weapons, and one part to the fact that he commonly chopped people into peices with his Lightsaber. Thinking he was the best in his field, when the invitation came to join the Thousand Swords, there was only one answer Arioch could give. Hells Yes. Weapons, Equipment, Skills, Force Abilities (if you got one): Wears a worn set of Medium Commando Armor, uses an Blaster Rifle (Heavy Hitter), Lightsaber, and a projectile pistol (Uses bullets, faster and harder to block for Jedi, but can still be blocked). Has a Force Healing ability. Fighting Style: Acts mostly like a badass soldier, mostly fighting with his Blaster Rifle from medium to close range. When coming into melee range, will pull out his Light Saber and use his novice level skills in LightSaber combat to kill people. Does not use his Lightsaber on Jedis or even against Padawans or Sith Initiates, because they, with even a little proper training, are vastly better than him. What makes him so proficient in combat is constant movement from cover to cover, constant, accurate fire from his Blaster Rifle and uses Force Healing to keep him alive. A true Bruiser in combat, he won't go in and wreck Jedis to peices, but he can stand in the middle of a battlefield and give as good as he gets against non-Force-Sensitives. He knows the best ways at tackling a Force-Sensitive with conventional weapons, but knows he will most likely not be successful. Personality: A very realistic person, but does love a good fight. Learning 'Intrigue' from his time on Korriban he knows when to lie and when to embelish the truth. Knows how to always watch his back, and doesn't work well with others. He has been Lone Wolf far too long to easily trust people. Mostly sees allies as either a useful set of talents to be used in a mission, or a liability that should be killed as soon as is convienent. His personality is fairly vague, I'll need to write him a bit to get it down.
Bith, Gammoreans, Ewoks, Neimoidian, Skakoan yes. Not the others. Be mindful of each species's traits. Neimoidian aren't badass warriors, and the Skakoan will die if you remove the mask, Ewoks are small, and Bith can play flutes. Be very wary of the Bith.
Funny you should mention the Bith above others, I was thinking of being one of them if Chevin was off limits.
Riorach the Mirialan Name: Riorach Race: Mirialan Force Sensitive: Yes Reginal Background: Jedi Origins: Lived on the planet of Mirial until adulthood when she set out to join the Jedi. She had always exhibited powers of intuition and her parents thought she might become a talented Force-user, like Barriss Offee the legendary Mirialan Jedi. It turned out, though, that Riorach was nothing like Barriss. Riorach was paired with a Jedi Master who had very strict views of Jedi teachings and he did not approve of Riorach's hot temper or how aggressive she became during lightsaber lessons. He made her meditate and read ancient Jedi texts in the hopes that she would reform, but this only made Riorach more restless. She wanted to fight, that was her calling. Fed up with meditating and doing nothing, Riorach stole a ship and left with her purple lightsaber. After a few months of being a lone mercenary she was recruited by the Thousand Swords. She accepted--she'd take any oppurtunity to fight. Weapons, Equip., Skills, Force Abilities: Wears a midnight cloak over a black tunic and leather leggings (no armour), uses a Lightsaber when in close range of enemy, very flexible and agile, has a Force Intuition ability (feeling when something bad or good is about to happen), but it comes and goes and she doesn't depend heavily on it. In addition to her Lightsaber, she has two guns up her sleeves called 'sleeve guns', a laser knife and a long-range rifle. Fighting style: She is a trained shooter, but she much prefers hand-to-hand combat. Is a very skilled fighter due to her agility and flexibilty, and uses her Lightsaber to chop up opponents at a close range. Also, trained herself to throw her laser knife with skillful accuracy. Personality: Inverted, Moody, Impatient, slightly ADHD, Very Passionate
Name: TA-01 Race: Droid: Tactical Assault class (Prototype) Force-Sensitive: No Regional Background: Sith TA-01 is a prototype assault droid constructed by Czerka Corportation during the Jedi Civil War, primarily as a battle tactician and military asset. TA-01 was intended to be the forerunner to an entire class of Assault droids capable of divising and executing military assaults without direction from their masters. The ultimate goal was to create an elite military unit capable of swaying the tide of a war. Origins: Despite promising early testing. TA-01 become disobedient and unruly and exhibited signs of self-awareness. As TA-01 developed and learned, Czerka realised that the project was too dangerous. They had constructed a droid capable of independant thought. They attempted to deactivate the unit and shut him down permanantly. TA-01 had expected this and rebelled against his makers. The team of 7 researchers were killed with the destruction of the secret research facility. TA-01 escaped, eventually finding its way to Tatooine. Seeking purpose, TA-01 turned to its programming and became a bounty hunter under the semi-regular hire of the Hutts. After some time, word reached Tatooine of the Thousand Swords. TA-01 volunteered to join the Mercenary group, seeking greater challenges in an effort to further develop his programming. Weapons, Equipment, Skills, Force Abilities (if you got one): Weapons: TA-01 is equipped with a Sniper rifle for long range assault. As well as a standard blaster rifle for medium to close range combat. Equipment: TA-01 is constructed from experimental alloy exterior plating which is resistant to blaster fire, though not completely impervious. Many parts of TA's construction use standard plating which provides minimal shielding, particularly in joint areas. This was a necessary trade-off to allow the unit to be slightly faster, agile and quicker to respond under fire. TA-01 is also equipped with a Mandalorian design personal energy shield. This renders the unit impervious to energy weapons for a period of time. The shield requires a lengthy recharge time however, so it is best deployed tactically. The shielding has been modified to also act as a cloaking device. However this requires a tremendous drain of power and is only effective for a short time. Overuse will result in the shield overheating and becoming ineffective as both cloak and shield until repair can be made. Skills: TA-01 is a tactical assault droid. It is programmed to analyse a situation and devise an effective strategy to accomplish the objective. The unit also has a high level of computer hacking ability which can be used to bypass security. Fighting Style: TA-01 is an accomplished marksman and prefers to survey the situation from afar at first in order to pick off easy targets and formulate a plan of attack. This one is not likely to charge into the fray or engage in melee combat of its own volition. This one likes its sentience and would prefer not to become tiny pieces of metal and circuitry to be melted down or salvaged for spare parts. Personality: Smalltalk is not part of this one's initial programming. Prefer to keep interaction with organics to a minimum. Will be integral to formulation of assault tactics, however has had experience of organics ignoring its advice. This has not often ended well. The price paid for prejudice against its kind. Droids are not seen as equals. Has a strong desire to construct other droid units like itself. Sees mercenary/bounty work as a duty, not a job, has little value for monetary reward other than purchase of weapons and spare parts for repair.
I have to join this. (Sorry to the other people who's games I've turned down recently... it's y'know, star wars! ) I'll be working on a character!
Good work so far, no one is unbalanced, and I kind of like the spread of characters so far. I really like the TA-01, the assasin droids were always a great thing, and the classic 'passionate wreckless' Padowan is a nessasary person to have in the team. Who else will wrecklessly charge into the front without them? I guess I'll tie us all together. The plan is for a few more posts for us going INTO the Bloody Sun for a small briefing, all the recruits will be sent out onto a planet, any group of recruits that completes the mission gets into the Thousand Swords. Mission details and details on our competing Thousand Sword initiates will come up in the future posts (a roundabout way to say I haven't thought them up yet, or want to keep them as a surprise). So post your characters, join in the group before (or after, joining during could be fun 'cause we get to shoot at you before deciding you're alright) we start the mission, and we're good to go.
I'm not sure how quickly this will move along over the weekend, but I'll be working and not have access to a computer till monday morning. I will be able to follow whats happening on my smartphone but replying will be too difficult till Monday. So if anything major happens just make sure my character follows the crowd for the time being and doesn't get left behind for bantha fodder.
I'll keep the robot with me, being all 'Strong and Silent'. Though I also have the idea that the thread won't move too quickly over the weekend, so no worries. If you guys have any questions about characters then just PM me. I'll probably reply quickly. There is no stupid question.
Name: Giilan Pelenu Race: Nautolan Force-Sensitive:Yes Reginal Background:Neutral. Origins: Giilan was born on Glee Anselm just before the outbreak of the Galactic War. After the war began, his family evacuated the planet, stowing away aboard a large freighter heading to outer Rim. They were discovered while the ship was docked at Taris, and Giilan's parents were killed. Giilan escaped, and was forced to blend into the underbelly of the planet. He quickly joined a street gang as a way of survival. After he'd grown older, he started to notice that he could sense things that others couldn't and that he had the ability to affect people's decisions on occasion. After living on Taris for many years, and after the Sith blockade was broken, Giilan had made enough money to book passage off the planet, and he began traveling throughout the outer rim, using his ability with the force, his street smarts and tenacity, and also his proficient blaster to make a living as a bounty hunter. Weapons, Equipment, Skills, Force Abilities (if you got one): Giilan carries twin plaster pistols, modded to increase accuracy and fire rate. Unfortunately they are prone to overheating when used over a long duration. Also on his gun belt are 3 thermal detonators and a grapple line. Giilan also carries a short vibro-blade for close combat. He is also an Empath, as are most Nautolans. This means he short distances, he can sense others emotions and motives, and uses this to help him control his force ability, Mind Domination. He cannot force people to do anything, but he can influence their decisions and make them more susceptible to suggestion. Fighting Style: Giilan's fighting style is governed by this principle, "Shoot the other guy first." He will always make the first move if he thinks he's in danger, and he will always try to end fights quickly. He's a very good shot, but his ability to take damage is not the highest. In close combat, he is very fast and difficult to hit, and uses feints and misdirection to hit the enemy where they're least expecting it. If he can get his hands on a sniper rifle, you will want to avoid him. Personality: Giilan is very intelligent, but he doesn't always think things through, relying more on his sharpened instincts and intuition than anything. He is also very fond of sarcasm and snarky remarks. If a person has his respect, he'll treat them fairly and with dignity. if he doesn't respect someone, they are not important in Giilans mind.
We now have our mission, Kill Chanchellor Wampei. Whichever group (ours, namely) who kills him shares a 1,000,000 credit paycheck and is initiated into the Thousand Swords. You guys have the opportunity to shop around. Depending on your background, you might have some to no money. A lot of the items that would be sold are extremely pricy, and meant for the wealthy of the 'Kills for money' demographic. You don't have to buy anything, and you probably won't have the background to have any money to buy with. I am going to post after you guys, with my background as an already established bounty hunter (some money) I am just going to have my armor repaired and make it less worn, repainted so I look more..sharp. Not really a functional upgrade, just aesthetic, and thus a fluff buy. After every mission, we will always come back to the Bloody Sun, and to the market for repairs, ammo and miscallanious supply refills, and other such things You guys know what you're doing, so just have fun with a day at the market and we'll get on with the mission
Migran Da'hs Name: Migran Da’hs Race: Bith Force-Sensitive: No Regional Background: Neutral Origins: Migran was a young child when he dreamed of joining Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes, oh how he would practice his Fanfar. Being of the same race as the band, he figured he would have a chance. That is until the Sith took over his village, then the Jedi came along and turned it into a war-zone. At that point, Migran was about sixteen, old enough to fight. Now, Migran lived in Tatooine. It is a land of raiders, pillagers, and corrupt government leaders. There is no way that you can live there without fighting. Migran never completely gave up his musical dreams, he still carries around his Fanfar, but he sometimes uses it for different reasons. The Fanfar makes a great stealthy weapon! So began Migran’s career as a hired assassin. Engineering new ways to kill people quickly and silently, as is the way of the Bith. Migran was not actually found by the Thousand Swords, he found them. A hit was put on one of the member’s heads, sure enough the Thousand Swords was ready for an assassination attempt. There had to have been ten people on Migran within twenty seconds, Migran was subdued with two options. Join or die. Why choose die? It was a great feat for Migran to join the Thousand Swords! Weapons, Equipment, Skills, Force Abilities: Migran fights with his Fanfar (for blow darts and other projectiles), Kouhun, a T-28 repeating sniper rifle, a small pistol, and whatever else is conveniently located nearby. Fighting Style: Migran is a shadowy warrior, he fights very well when you don’t know who or where he is. He is a master of tricks and can have you dead pretty quickly. Unfortunately, if he is in face-to-face combat, odds are not going to be good. Well, that is unless he happens to have a Kouhun on him, not likely. Kouhun are extremely lethal, Migran only carries them around when he knows he may need them, if just one were to brush against him, he would die. Personality: A very light-hearted fellow, he has seen many lives pass on, lives that he has taken. He recognizes the greater good, he creates it, why should he feel sorrow? He loves to just brighten up a day, maybe crack a joke, sing a song, you never know.
Meet Trish Ordo: (Koodo points to whoever recognizes her last name) Name: Trish Ordo Race: Human Force-Sensitive: No Reginal Background: Mandalorian Origins:Trish lived on Mandalore, the home world of Mandalorians, up till her 20th birthday when she went out and began her career as a dangerous Mandalorian assassian. Her father betrayed her clan, Clan Quiner, when she was a child. Ever since she has been searching for new ways to prove to her clan she is not like him. Equipment: Two pistols holstered on either side of her body, a sniper rifle, electrified knife, Black and silver mandalorian armor complete with a stealth feild belt. Combat Tactis: Trish's specialty is sniping. She is able to handle herself in a knife fight but prefers to stay out of hand to hand combat. Personality: Trish is on a mission to prove her worth to her clan. She willing to do almost anything to get the respect and honor she deserves. She won't kill an innocent just for fun but doesn't shed a tear over killing someone who gets in her way or is the target of her assassination. Trish is quiet and prefers to remain in the background gathering as much intelligence as she can. Only one target has ever escaped her, and she has sworn never to let it happen again.
Haha yes. Those two games remain in my top 10 of all time favourites and won't be budged any time soon. It's the only original xbox games I still own! This RPG is making me want to play through them all over again.
Yeah, Me too. But I have the Old Republic MMO. It's awesome! The man who does the voice for Carth Onasi also does the voice for Kaiden in Mass Effect.
I beta tested the Old Republic MMO. Good fun, not the KOTOR 3 people said it was, but a good all around MMO as it was. Anyhow, I'll post real quick of Arioch walking off to get his armor repaired, and see if I can steer Ms. Mirialan-the-Arm-Chopper back towards the group. You guys secure transport, me and Erik (Mirialan the Arm Chopper) will meet you lot shortly when we leave for the mission. (If that is good with yall and Eric)
