The title is always the hardest part

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Red_Thunder, Dec 5, 2014.

Hello, everyone! Call me Red. I heard about this site from my brother and felt like I should look around. I'm a (very) amateur poet and enjoy rpgs a great deal, so I hope to be involved in those capacities here.

I'm really impressed with what I've seen of the site, as well as its members, and I hope I can offer contributions as high in quality as those I've seen.

Thanks, and I'll see ya'll on the forums!

    - Red

    Welcome Red :)

Sadly I don't enjoy Poetry like some people on here do, but I do like a good RPG myself every once in awhile.

    Thanks, shamgar and monster.

Incidentally, I've tried to post on the poetry board, but the page tells me that I have insufficient privilege to do so. Can anyone tell me how to get sufficient privilege? Thanks.

I would recommend you read the rules. You're not allowed to post your own writing until you complete a few requirements.

    You need to:
    ~Post over twenty posts
~You need to be active on the forums for over two weeks
~ You need to write two critiques on already existing workshop writing pieces

I'm also still waiting myself to be able to write, so what I suggest you do while waiting is either continue to edit your current work, or do what I'm doing and write another Poem (if that's what you want to do).

I read the rules but somehow missed that part. Thanks, Monster. I do indeed have some works, but I'll definitely look at churning out more while I wait, in addition to meeting those requirements.
    Thanks again!

If you need a tide over bite until you can post to the workshop, check out the poetry contests. Also, welcome to the boards.

I hate thread titles. When I post in the workshop I usually just use a quote from the text. :)
