It's cooler here in TN than normal, but that's about it. I am, however, very concerned about other states and countries. North Carolina has been evacuated. That blows my mind. Yikes. VERY concerned. Thanks for this thread, as a reminder of either how lucky we are or how unfortunate ... and how we need to pray.
Live in downtown Jacksonville, in a house I'm renovating that was built in 1904... so it's seen some hurricanes. Jacksonville seems to be positioned in a sweet spot on the Florida coast. Hurricanes hit the middle part of the State pretty bad, then bounce around us, then smack the Carolinas something fierce. It happened again with Matthew. It rained nonstop, but never poured, and the wind was never any worse than tropical storm level. Of course I used my psychic powers and pushed the storm out to sea as it reached us. All my energy is spent. I am exhausted. It's a thankless job being a minor God.
I'm a God in the Greek tradition... I still get to do lots of human things like yard work and fixing a leaky roof.
I'm in Richmond. Didn't get hit by the hurricane itself, but it's been raining cats and dogs all day and will continue for three days.
It's cool and crisp here in Alabama, but damn...It's scary to have to go through that. Sorry everyone on the east coast.
