Does anyone know an"big word" that relays the idea that something is unavoidable or needs to happen." Like Desideratum means something that is desired. That is what I am using to title my book. But I'd like to see if I can find something that means "has.to happen"
Why does it need to be a 'big word'? Just using onelookthesaurus.com (which I often use as a placeholder when writing, if I really like the word I choose I may keep it, if not I'll highlight it for more consideration in the edit phase) I found Ultimity It's a 'big word' (I'd never even heard of it actually). But it's a word that the average person could intuitively guess what it means.
Well, according to ngram viewer it peaked in 1861 so that makes sense. It's not even a blip when comparing to 'futility' which is not exactly a super common word itself.
