Paradise Lost by John Milton. I had a copy years back, but was too....immature to sit, read and enjoy it for what it is. I'm half-tempted to skip to Dante's Inferno, but I'll stick with it. Definitely a side book that'll take me a month or two to finish. I need to stop buying books I also brought socks. Can never go wrong with socks. Unless they don't fit. But these do.
I like every section of Paradise Lost that doesn't involve Adam and Eve. Those sections are just so god damn boring, especially the naming of animals part.
Making your own salsa isn't particularly difficult or time-consuming. It's literally a chop and throw together sort of thing. And thanks to modern American supermarkets, it isn't even particularly expensive either. And with practice, you can make it in perfect small batches so that you only have to do it every couple of weeks, or monthly. Canning, or putting it up for long term storage is a bit of a pain, I think. I believe making more frequent batches makes the most sense and provides the freshest flavor.

Went to Men's Warehouse to buy wedding attire but I only brought shoes. Already have suit crap, can just wear one of those. Not wearing a tie, even though my father insisted I do. Also brought my best buddy, Goatee (bearded dragon), a gift for the holidays. It's a new log for him to bask on. Hide inside, too. And hunt crickets and slippers that make too much noise. Those slippers are pure evil that he must destroy.
Food, and food stuffs. Also shampoo and conditioner and body wash. And razors, and power-steering fluid, and small jug of Tide.
Going to Costco in a few hours, god only knows what'll happen there but they only take the one flavor of credit card we don't have which will protect me from accidentally buying a gazebo or a nine foot teddy bear.
I bought a few classic Hewlett-Packard calculators. I kind of collect them - my dad worked for HP in the 60s and 70s and introduced them to me when I was but a little tyke, and I've loved them ever since. I also got a couple of classic slide rules. I'm a huge fan of old technology. And I bought a modern Milwaukee cordless variable-speed drill, because that smelly old Ryobi I had was a weak-ass waste of money. The Milwaukee is a serious tool. My roomie promptly used to to install a new super-advanced lock on our front door. I also stocked up on Reed's Stronger Ginger Brew. I live on that stuff. And a tank of gas for the ol' Subaru Outback.
Some crackle-glass beads for my new bead-stringing bracelet-making hobby (VERY theraputic, unless I manage to dump a bunch of them on the floor.) A little disappointed. The colours are pretty, but the colours are also sprayed on. Makes for a tacky feel, rather than a nice smooth glass bead. Ach well. eBay. You takes what you gets.

Well, I tried soaking the paint off and it seems to resist soaking. Whether or not it will wear well, who knows. Just a bit gnarly to know they didn't actually send me real colored glass beads. It was obvious they'd been spray painted, because the string they came on was covered in the paint! Ach well. They weren't expensive. I'll check out your link, but I do live in the UK, so shipping charges matter. Yeah, those do seem to be better quality. The description clearly states that the colour is saturated throughout the glass and won't wear off, etc. Damn.
My husband loved that one—after he mastered the controls and was able to pat his horse, instead of punching it in the head.
I did that once. Got kicked into the swamp for my troubles, and proceeded to get shredded by an alligator. Good times.
I'll find out soon enough, but did they add a patch that means your character can swim? I remember early gameplay footage showed him floudering, suggesting swimming isn't a feature. That would be a shame and a waste of the environment if you ask me.
