My wife is dedicated quilter so I recently was talked into acquiring this sewing machine for her. I never knew how big they could be!
I miss my darkroom. Not that I don't still have it, but every time I leave town for a few months for work or school, people decide to use it as a storage area and it's been getting harder and harder to clean out lately.
Wow. My mom's a bit of a (retired) seamstress with quite a few sewing machines, but that's a horse of a different color. Wish I had a way to show it to her, but she doesn't internet.
Don't darkrooms usually, well, lack big windows? I dunno, the last time I was in one was my sophomore graphic arts class, and I'm sure technology has progressed in the last 30+ years
We have several solutions for that in the UK. We have these things called curtains or drapes. We also have what we call blinds What do you mean sarcasm's the lowest form of wit?
Face masks. Yeah, paid too much, but was not yet ripped off. But they're now mandatory in shops and public transportation (don't do the latter, but I need to do the former.) Not sure if masks being mandatory are a good idea. There are a LOT more people. It seems they think "hey, masks protect, so I can do everything as normal wearing them", which isn't true. You should still keep distance. Besides, a lot of people don't use them properly. (I never worked with biologics, but I worked with semiconductors in clean rooms. Used to wearing one-way gloves and masks – mostly to protect the surfaces I worked with from my pesky emissions, but also to protect myself from toxic dusts like GaAs. I mean, when you have your gloves covered in toxic, carcinogenic dust, you quickly learn to not grab your mask and wipe your face...)
Shoes.. Beautiful, beautiful shoes. And clothes. Well, the clothes purchase was first, then I realised I had no shoes to go. Now I've realised I'll be wearing said beautiful clothes and shoes in my house for a while haha
There are some glorious boots I've wanted for a while marked down 20% due to the pandemic. But the 40% import tariff would kill me and I don't know when I'll have the chance to wear them, sooo...
I recently purchased a bunch of trilogy sets on Blu Ray. Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, The Dark Knight, etc.
Loo roll, deodorant, adhesive heat packs, peanut butter, chewing gum, light bulbs. I got my rent paid in too.
