I'm Ryan. I've been writing since I can remember. I was never much of a reader, but always enjoyed a good book-on-tape. I'm too ADD for written books, and they usually put me to sleep. I've written for senators and other people. My current project is a collection of short stories that I'm trying to get published. I'm 17, and hope someday to be compared to Edgar Allen Poe or Frank Norris. Say words lovelies!
Hello Ryan, Welcome to the Writing Forums. Well, according to at least this web page, Edgar Allen Poe was 5'10" tall. Are you taller or shorter than that? And now that we have already met one of your goals... If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum).
