Who here knows of a single Thomas Pynchon novel? I am currently reading his debut novel V. and I have to say. It is easily one of the finest novels I have ever had the pleasure of reading. It is funny, mysterious and challanging to the mind. A true literery hero. Who else knows of this amazing writer?
I'm convinced Thomas Pynchon is one of the greatest writers of the second half of the 20th century. I've read The Crying of Lot 49 and Gravity's Rainbow, and I'm currently working on Vineland. I picked that badboy up yesterday, and I've already read 100 pages since I just can't put it down. If you haven't read this guy, you need to do yourself a favor and pick him up. I've read The Crying of Lot 49 is his most accessible novel.
