A textual analysis of the Hunger Games, Twilight, and Harry Potter, showing things like most commonly used sentences: http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/culturebox/2013/11/hunger_games_catching_fire_a_textual_analysis_of_suzanne_collins_novels.html
This was an interesting read. Thanks for posting Liz! I wonder if the fact that Twilight comes in as rather dry and behind the polls is any indication of why people are harder on her writing. Or maybe it's just a coincidence. Makes me worry about the repetition in my story. I start my sentences with a lot of gerunds.
@GingerCoffee that is way too much fun to play with! I mean... use for writing... purposes... and stuff...
. I decided to post it in resources too. Not sure I did it right but the explanation and link look OK.
