I'm writing a fantasy series, and I'm not incredibly familiar with titles. I understand feudalism, but I'm not quite sure about the rulers' titles. Does anyone know the appropriate titles, and the times to use them?

Take a term of power and reinvent it as a title, a sinister one if the owner of the title is to be malevolent, a more benign one otherwise. Something like 'Tyrranar' in the vein of 'ruler' or 'dictator', or something less strong lbut still mighty ike a combination of terms, maybe 'deity' and 'puissant' into 'deissant' or 'puissity' (though neither of those seem great.) Fantasy is fanciful, be creative!
