    Twitter/Social Media Use

Discussion in 'Marketing' started by MusingWordsmith, Jun 26, 2018.

So, I know that social media is a pretty big part of promoting books nowadays. And I've been told that Twitter is the best one to use for writers. The thing is, I really don't like social media. It's overwhelming. So to you twitter users out there: advice on how to balance this? I might do better if I just don't follow very much, but can I get away with that? I'm thinking about keeping my twitter just writing focused, not using it as a 'social' media- if I do that should I use a pen name? (I'm also a government employee so there's that too. A library so nothing really confidential but I've heard it said to be careful about what you say online working for the city.) Also any other general advice?
